Terms of service

The service

AskBobbie ("the service") is provided by Locally UK Ltd. It reads emails, messages and photos that you or your school send to it, turns them into dates, payments and to-dos for you to confirm, answers questions about them, and can connect to your calendar and your WhatsApp. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over and responsible for the children whose details you enter.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.
• One phone can be linked to one account. Linking a phone that was linked to another account moves it.
• You can invite other grown-ups into your household. They see what the household sees; an owner or admin can change who is in it.

What Bobbie reads is a best effort

Bobbie reads letters with an AI model and is usually right about the date, the amount and what to bring. Usually is not always. Anything Bobbie was not sure of waits in your inbox for you to check, and everything can be edited. Check the original letter before you rely on a date, a deadline or a payment. We are not responsible for a missed trip, a late payment or a forgotten PE kit, though we will be sorry.

Acceptable use

• Use the service for your own family's admin. Do not send it other people's private information without their agreement.
• Do not upload anything unlawful, or images that are sexual, violent or otherwise harmful. Uploaded images are checked automatically; anything flagged is kept out of sight and reviewed, and may be reported where the law requires.
• Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or to get at another household's data.
• Do not use the service to send unsolicited messages to anyone.

Connections you choose

Connecting Google Calendar or linking WhatsApp is optional and can be undone in Settings at any time. When you connect Google, you authorise us to read the calendars on that account and, only if you switch it on, to create and keep an "AskBobbie" calendar there. Those services have their own terms.

Early access

AskBobbie is new. Features will change, some will be switched off while we fix them, and the service may be unavailable now and then. During early access the service is free; if that changes we will tell you well before anything is charged, and you will be able to leave first.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time in Settings (how). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law prevents it.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability where the law says it cannot be limited. Otherwise, the service is provided as is, and Locally UK Ltd is not liable for indirect loss, or for loss arising from relying on Bobbie's reading of a document rather than the document itself.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. We may update them; the date at the top says when, and we will tell you in the app about changes that matter. Questions: [email protected].
