Cozi alternatives for UK families (2026)

Cozi was the free family organiser for a decade. Its free calendar now shows the next 30 days, which for a family planning a term is not a calendar, and the paid tiers are $39 or $79 a year. If that has sent you looking, here is where each of the things Cozi did lives now.

The shared calendar#

TimeTree: free, everyone edits it, comment threads on events. The closest thing to what Cozi's calendar was, minus the lists. Cozi vs TimeTree.

Google Calendar: free and everywhere. Make one family calendar, share it with everyone, colour per person.

The shopping list and to-dos#

Google Keep or Apple Reminders shared lists: free and adequate.

AnyList or Bring!: better shopping lists than Cozi had, with aisles and recipes; a few pounds a year for the extras.

AskBobbie: the list by aisle, regulars, send-to-supermarket, and dinners that feed the list; and the calendar and the reading in the same place. See dinners and the shopping list.

The meal plan#

Paprika or Mealime if you want recipes with it. AskBobbie if you want a plan the household can ask about ("what's for tea?") that puts ingredients on the list.

The thing Cozi never did#

Cozi is a place to put dates once you know them. If the actual problem is finding the date in the letter, no shared calendar solves it. The letter readers do: forward the school's email or photograph the letter and the date, the money and the child come out the other side.

Moving#

Cozi's calendar can be shared as a subscription link readable by Google and Apple; use it to see the old events while you re-enter the recurring ones. Lists export by email. It takes an evening.
