Round-ups
A summary of the day, sent when you choose, how you choose: a morning one for today on WhatsApp, an evening one for tomorrow by email, or both. Each grown-up sets their own, and every round-up ends with what is waiting in the Inbox.

The short version. Settings, Round-ups. Pick a time, today or tomorrow, and app, WhatsApp or email. As many as six. Every one ends with "...and remember, there are still 3 things that need attention in your Inbox."

What is in one
"Evening, Mum. Here's Tomorrow, Tuesday 29 September: Maya: Living Museum trip, 8:45 (coach from school). Leo: football club, 3:30pm. To bring or wear: packed lunch; PE kit. Money: £12.50 trip money, due Friday. Dinner: fish pie. ...and remember, there are still 2 things that need attention in your Inbox. Shall we go through those now?"
On WhatsApp it adds "Reply 'inbox' and I'll take you through them." By email there is a button to the Inbox.
Setting them up
- Settings, Round-ups.
- Choose a time, today or tomorrow, and app, WhatsApp or email.
- Press Add.
Pause one with the switch, remove it with the cross, or press Send now to see it immediately. A morning one for today and an evening one for tomorrow is the usual pair.
Where it arrives
- App: a card at the top of Today, until you dismiss it.
- Email: to your login address, with the Inbox button.
- WhatsApp: to your linked phone, within the day window; otherwise as the app card, and the settings page says why.
What is really happening
Bobbie's servers check every five minutes for round-ups due in each household's own time zone and send them once a day each. Yours are yours: another grown-up's round-ups are theirs. The words are composed from the calendar at that moment, and the Inbox count is live.
Questions people ask
- Why did my WhatsApp round-up show up in the app instead?
- WhatsApp only lets Bobbie start a conversation within a day of your last message. If you had not messaged Bobbie that day, the round-up went to the Today page as a card instead, and the settings page tells you so. Message Bobbie anything and tomorrow's arrives on WhatsApp.
- What if my time is missed because my phone was off?
- The round-up is sent by Bobbie's servers, not your phone, so it goes whatever your phone is doing. A tomorrow round-up that could not go at its time is still sent later that evening; a today round-up is still sent up to six hours late, then left.
