Weduc for parents: one feed, and how to get it out of the app

What Weduc puts in its feed, forms and payments, its own calendar, and why the emails are the part to keep.

Weduc brings a school's news, messages, forms, calendar and payments into one feed. It is tidy, and its tidiness is its problem: everything is in Weduc, and Weduc is on your phone in the queue at the chemist.

Setting up

The school sends an enrolment email or letter with a code. Download Weduc, enter the code, set a password. A second parent needs the office to add them as a contact; they get their own code.

What is in the feed

  • News: newsletters and posts from the school.
  • Messages: sent to you or your child's class.
  • Forms: consent, surveys, choices.
  • Calendar: events the school has published.
  • Payments, where the school uses it.

Getting it out

Weduc emails you each message and news post if notifications are set to email (your profile, Notifications). The emails carry the whole text. Point them at your Bobbie address, or forward with a rule, and the dates and forms come out the other side onto a calendar every grown-up can see. See giving the school your address.

Questions people ask

Does Weduc's calendar sync with my phone?
Not on its own. Events live in the app. Forward Weduc's emails to something that puts them on a calendar, or add them by hand.
Can I reply to a message in Weduc?
If the school has turned replies on, yes, from the message itself. Many schools use it one-way; then the office email is the way back.
