Your household's email address
Every household has an @askbobbie.co.uk address. Where to find it, who to give it to, what happens when something lands, and how to put it into ParentPay, Arbor, ClassDojo and the rest.

The short version. Your address is on the Integrations page under Settings, and looks like [email protected]. Give it to the school, add it to ParentPay as a second email, or forward things to it. Anything that lands is read and waits in your Inbox.

Finding it
Open the menu, then Settings, then Integrations. The Email in card shows the address with a Copy button beside it.
Three ways to use it
- Give it to the school as your email. The office adds it as your contact, or as a second contact if they allow two. Everything they send arrives with Bobbie.
- Add it as a second email in the school's systems. ParentPay lets you add another address under your account; Arbor and others often do. Payment requests and receipts then land here. See giving the school your address for where the box is in each system.
- Forward to it. From your own mailbox, by hand or with a rule. See forwarding from Gmail.
What happens when something lands
Within a few seconds the Integrations page says Last email with what became of it: "waiting to be read", "read: 2 things in the Inbox to check", "read: 1 thing straight onto the calendar", or "read, nothing in it to keep". If it could not be read, it says why.
Things Bobbie found wait in your Inbox with the original beside them. Mail that the receiving server confirms came from someone in your household skips the Inbox and goes straight onto the calendar.
What is really happening
Mail to your address is received by Cloudflare, which checks that it really came from where it says (the same checks banks use), then hands it to Bobbie. Bobbie stores the message, reads it once with the AI model, and keeps the items. The raw email and its attachments are deleted after thirty days; the items stay until you delete them. Nothing is ever sent from the address.
Questions people ask
- Can I change the address?
- It is made from your household's name at set-up. If you have a good reason to change it, email [email protected] and we will do it for you; anything sent to the old one still arrives for a while.
- What if someone else sends to it?
- Anything sent to your address lands in your Inbox for you to check; it never goes straight onto the calendar unless the receiving server confirmed it really came from someone in your household. Unwanted things take one tap to bin.
- Will Bobbie reply to the school?
- No. Bobbie only ever reads. It does not send email to anyone, so the school will not get replies, bounces or anything else from your Bobbie address.
